SK Arabians was started by a mother-daughter team committed to trying to make people's dreams come true with the Arabian horses.

Sheri was a horse enthusiast as a small child.  She vividly remembers asking Santa for a pony or horse on many different occassions and the most she got were Breyers.  As a pre-teen she began working with people in the Arabian industry cleaning stalls and grooming horses.  She was hooked.  Her favorite memories from when she was working at Larry's barn are of her playing with a yearling on crutches.  Falling in love with that yearling WC Forever Dancing changed it all and she knew she wanted to be involved in horses for life.

Sheri took lessons from a few different people learning how to ride Saddleseat, Hunt Seat, and Western Pleasure.  As a teenager she began to assist in lessons and learning how to train.  She worked with Jill Ruhkamp forming a strong friendship and a love for working with the horses everyday.  She finally really learned exactly how to train.  She also learned the polish that she didn't get from some of the other trainers and learned sidesaddle.  When Jill retired from training she stepped out on her own making her dream a reality.  Today Sheri has successfully trained Regional winners, reserve champions, and Top 5's.  Her lesson students have ridden to those titles also.

Kate is Sheri's mother and the official barn Mom.  She is the business person in the relationship.  By allowing her daughter the chance to step into the training world, Kate has gotten the opportunity to work with many different people and horses.  Kate is always on the lookout for the next baby to bring in and turn into a show mount.  She enjoys the farm and finally getting her chance to learn how to ride.

Together Kate and Sheri make a wonderful team.    They work together to make everything from a typical work day to a show competition run smoothly.  The farm has brought them closer and anyone can guarantee a smile at the end of the day with these two individuals.

Kate's husband Bob is a very influential part of the program and is constantly seen around the farm helping.  Pipi Sheri's daughter is the future of SK Arabians.
